Cruz Is Not Breaking The Rules, He’s Doing What A Beloved 19th Century President Did

ted cruzThis post was not written to irritate Trumpsters, it’s to educate them. If you are a supporter of Donald, please take off your blinders and continue reading.

Mr Trump has continually and repeatedly claimed that Ted Cruz has cheated, is cheating, breaking the rules, in order to steal Trump’s delegates, which Trump won fair and square. Trump has also railed against the GOP.

Cruz is Continue reading “Cruz Is Not Breaking The Rules, He’s Doing What A Beloved 19th Century President Did”

The Rarely Told Story From The Battle of Lexington: The Shot Heard Round The World

jonas clarkAbridging history makes it easier for public educators to teach the subject, but the abridgment can also be a molester of truth. A victim of historical abridgment is the role of pastors and providence in U.S. independence and The Revolution.

On the anniversary of The Battle of Lexington (April 19, 1775), I want to share remarkable elements of a story that are absent from most history books used in educational settings. I also want to Continue reading “The Rarely Told Story From The Battle of Lexington: The Shot Heard Round The World”

Donald Trump’s Despotism And Vindictiveness: Hallmarks Of Tyranny, Not Christianity

trump-shoutingDonald Trump has a history. It’s dark, detailed, recent, and known — well, known to those who are not blinded by his inane blabber that for some reason passes as entertainment for low-information voters. His sycophants like Hannity, O’Reilly, Matt Drudge, and those at Breitbart ignore Trump’s history, justify it, and lie about it. Those that question Trump’s past and his present motives are skewered by Donald’s fan base without receiving rational explanation.

Beyond that, Donald in the present is saying and doing things of a despot. He claims to be a christian, but his Continue reading “Donald Trump’s Despotism And Vindictiveness: Hallmarks Of Tyranny, Not Christianity”

Apathetic Citizens Deserve To Lose Their Freedoms and Liberty

I absolutely believe what I wrote in the title of this article: apathetic citizens deserve to lose their freedoms. That’s right, I’m talking to you. Those of you who don’t know what is going on with your government, or to those of you who don’t care.

I don’t think they should lose their freedoms just because Continue reading “Apathetic Citizens Deserve To Lose Their Freedoms and Liberty”

The U.S. Is Exceptional — Let’s Keep It Exceptional

On the anniversary of September 12, 2001, the day that every American woke up, feeling united, I felt the need to write this essay to point out American exceptionalism. I’m not going to be shy about it or deny it like President Obama has done — the U.S. is, without question, exceptional. Continue reading “The U.S. Is Exceptional — Let’s Keep It Exceptional”

Failure of Imagination: Remembering Apollo One

Apollo One SealThere are very few subjects in life that deeply interest me. History is one of those subjects, and the exploration of space is yet another. Naturally, the history of space exploration goes beyond intriguing me — I devour the subject every chance I get.

Only two of my four children are old enough to grasp and understand stories of space exploration. They know the stories of the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions. I love telling them the stories of my heroes and how the U.S. was the first to put a man on the moon.

As I have told my children the stories of those fearless men, they Continue reading “Failure of Imagination: Remembering Apollo One”

Obama Wants to Be A Dictator

obama-noseI found the SOTU campaign speech last night from President Obama to be condescending and hypocritical. It was filled with empty platitudes, contradictions, and grossly unconstitutional proposals.

After the president gave his grandiose dream of all the new departments, task forces, taxes, regulations, and mandates, he said something that sent a creepy chill down my spine. He firmed his jaw and said Continue reading “Obama Wants to Be A Dictator”

Why I’m A Libertarian

Okay. Based on this site’s title, I’m quite obviosly a libertarian. I’ve been publishing, writing, and blogging for nearly ten years. The assumptions people make about me are sometimes laughable, at times frustrating, and in some instances the assumptions are mind blowing. If I write anything critical of Obama, I’m a racist, greedy, heartless republican nazi who eats Continue reading “Why I’m A Libertarian”

What Is Destroying The United States, And What Will Save It?

The United States is in trouble. Our republic has become riddled with political parties interested only in party power, politicians who care only for their party and their public legacy, politicians who misunderstand the role of government, record government debt, excessive taxes, corporate welfare, political correctness, corrupt interest groups, people who expect “free” government handouts, injustices to The Constitution, the expanding nanny-state of the government, the list can go on at infinitum.

What is the cause of these issues? Continue reading “What Is Destroying The United States, And What Will Save It?”

A Republic Or Democracy: What Every U.S. Citizen Should Know

What form of government do we have in the U.S.? While in school, most of us were taught that we have a democracy. If you listen to the typical republican and democrat politicians and pundits, you would hear the same thing — we have a democracy. How many times have we heard from politicians that a certain act, idea, or bill is a potential threat to our democracy? Problem is, these people who believe in and preach such things are dead wrong. They are either uneducated on the matter, or are purposely misleading those who listen. Our country is not a democracy, it is a republic. And yes, knowing the difference does matter.
